日本筝 Koto: Zither

日本筝

拨奏弦鸣乐器。八世纪初，我国唐代十三弦筝传入日本，先后演变为乐筝-筑筝-俗筝等日本传统乐器。三者形制基本相同，音名由远至近分别称为：一二三四五六七八九十斗为巾。筝的传统演奏方法是右手姆-食-中指套上义甲弹拨，左手按弦。

Koto: Zither

Plucked chordaphone. In the early years of the 8^th century, the Chinese Tang Dynasty (618-907) 13-string zheng zither was introduced into Japan, transformed successively into different kinds of local traditional zithers, such as gakuso (music zither), tsukushi-goto, and zokuso (popular zither), basically with the same constructions. In the traditional performing way, the right thumb, index, and middle finger pluck the strings with plectra and the left fingers stop the strings.
