笛 DI: FLUTE

笛

边棱音气鸣乐器。我国最有代表性的管乐器之一。历史上笛的种类繁多。除了用竹制笛外，还用骨、玉、玳瑁、瓷、铁、铜等材料制笛。唐宋以来，衍生出的样式繁多。

现常见横笛有曲笛和梆笛，曲笛音域为：a¹～b³；梆笛音域为：d²～e⁴。常用于歌舞和戏曲的伴奏，也用来独奏。

DI: FLUTE

Edged tone aerophone and one of the typical wind instruments in China. History has seen many variants, especially since the Tang and Song Dynasties (618~1279). Its material can be bone, jade, hawksbill, porcelain, iron and copper as well as bamboo.

The most common types now are qudi (a¹～b³⁾ ) (for kunqu opera) and bangdi (d²～e⁴ ) (for Northern bangzi opera), used as much in the accompaniment of singing, dancing and musical dramas as in solo performance.
