巴乌

单簧气鸣乐器。广泛流行于云南哈尼-苗-彝-傣等少数民族地区。哈尼族人称巴乌为会说话的乐器。因流行地区的不同，长短粗细略有差异，名称也不尽相同。音域为一个八度多一音，音色柔美，娓娓动听。彝族小伙子常常随身携带作为谈情说爱的工具

Ba-wu: Reed Aerophone

Single-reed aerophone, the instrument is widely found in the regions of the Hani, the Miao, the Yi and the Dai minority peoples, Yunnan Province. Its size and name vary from region to region. For instance, it is called a talking instrument among the Hani. Its range is an octave plus one pitch. With its mellow and beautiful sound, it is used to be a tool for talking love among the Yi lads.
