腰鼓 YAOGU: WAIST DRUM

腰鼓

用彩绸缚于腰间，用双槌击奏。节日喜庆时边奏边舞，敲奏时能表演各种优美美的舞姿，俗称“腰鼓舞”。大型腰鼓舞队的气势宏大，敲奏者可达百人以上，队伍前有一人敲大鼓作领奏兼指挥节奏，并有大钹配合。

YAOGU: WAIST DRUM

Tied around the player’s waist (thus the name waist drum) with colored ribbons, the drum is played with two sticks on the occasions of festivals and celebrations. The performer beats the drum while dancing in graceful steps, popularly called waist drum dance. A large team of waist drums consists of over 100 players, together with big cymbal players, with a leader or conductor beating a big drum.
