乐曲演奏至半程，钢琴手不干，最后连指挥竟然也不干，嗨了小提琴手成了指挥。瞧这曲写的让钢琴和指挥有仇，大伙还无所适从，乐队以为要演奏老柴的降B小调钢协，结果钢琴手却弹起了格里格钢协的a小调，然后拉赫来了，格什温也来了，各路奇兵也都来了，最后的结尾简直就是水火交融的高潮，感觉这首曲子要终结的是指挥家和钢琴家的良好合作关系……。

这就是德裔英国作曲家Franz Reizenstein(1911-1968)首演于1956年霍夫农格音乐节的那首著名的“Concerto Popolare”——“流行协奏曲”，原曲的副标题是“A Piano concerto to end all piano concertos”——“一首终结所有钢琴协奏曲的钢琴协奏曲”
