唢呐 SUONA: Oboe

唢呐

双簧气鸣乐器。明代正德年以来在民间广泛流传，常用音域约两个八度。音色宏亮，富有穿透力，适于表演热烈欢快的风格。唢呐除了用于合奏、独奏外，也用于戏曲、歌舞的伴奏。在民间婚丧和节目喜庆的吹打乐队中，多用它来造成热闹气氛。

SUONA: OBOE

Double-reed aerophone. Its great favor has been found since the Zhengde period (1560~1520) of the Ming Dynasty. With a range of two octaves and loud penetrating tone quality, the suona is appropriate for the ardent and lively style. Apart from its use in solo and ensemble, the instrument is commonly used in the accompaniment to local theatres or to singing and dancing, often heard on such occasions as weddings, funerals or other ceremonies and celebrations.
