渔鼓

渔鼓流行于湖北、湖南、山东、广西等地。常与“简板”（也称“简子”）一起为“渔鼓”、“道情”等说唱伴奏。约始于宋代，明代史籍已有记载。渔鼓的音色温文雅致。

YUGU: BAMBOO IDIOPHONE

The type is commonly seen in the provinces of Hubei, Hunan, Shangdong and Guangxi. Often with jianban (also called jianzi, i.e. two bamboo clappers with copper cymbals attached), the bamboo tube instrument, gentle and graceful in tone quality, is played in the accompaniment of such folk ballads as yugu and daoqing. Its earliest history can be traced to the Song-date (960~1279), and its records in the Ming Dynasty (1368~1644) can be found.
